Gregory S. Kailian currently serves as a senior referee with USA Taekwondo (USAT), the National Governing Board established by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to administer Olympic taekwondo in the United States. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Kailian earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston University, and a doctorate from the University of Southern California. A graduate of the 1983 World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) International Referee Course (IR# 013-0625), Greg lived and worked in Korea for ten years, practicing taekwondo on a daily basis. He has officiated at numerous international events including world championships, world cups, and Olympic qualifiers. He currently holds Kukkiwon 8'th degree black belt and WTF "S" class international referee rank.
