SARAH
by James R. Smerdell
Sarah is an eleven-year-old girl being raised by her widowed mother, Natalie. Her father, Michael, was killed before she was born while serving in the military during the first Gulf War. She longs to be part of a two parent family but knows that can never happen. Sarah is a child of deep faith but is stunned one day when Jesus reveals himself to her and presents her with a startling request, which she dutifully accepts. For sixteen years, Sarah follows Jesus’ directions and impacts the lives of an untold number of souls.
For Sarah, following Jesus’ directions brings emotional highs and lows, but a tragedy pushes her to the darkest time in her life and only her faith in God and the love and support of her husband can bring her back.
