Virginia Divorce Attorney Charles R. Hofheimer has devoted much of his career protecting the interests of thousands of women contemplating or confronting divorce or contested custody cases.
Since 1990 Charlie has conducted monthly three- hour seminars on “What Women Need to Know About Divorce.” His seminar program, locally known as “Second Saturday,” has been recognized by the Virginia State Bar for its outreach to the women of Virginia, especially in the cities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, Virginia.
Charlie has held numerous professional positions including Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association for two successive terms, founding member of the Virginia College of Trial Advocacy, founding member and past chair of the Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Tidewater and Collaborative Divorce Solutions of the Virginia Peninsula, founding member and past chair of Virginia Collaborative Professionals, a statewide organization promoting multi-disciplinary team collaborative divorce, and emeritus member of the Hoffman I’Anson Inn of Court.
Mr. Hofheimer is a co-founder of Hofheimer/Ferrebee, P.C., a six lawyer law firm dedicated to representing women only in divorce and custody matters.
Charlie has been married forty-two years to nationally recognized child advocate and paralegal Diane Wilson Hofheimer. Together, Charlie and Diane have been featured in an award winning documentary “Small Justice” created as a result of Diane’s relentlesss commitment to children in difficult child sexual-abuse custody cases. “Small Justice” was produced in 2005 by Boston University Professor Garland Waller.
Charles and Diane have three children, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren, all of whom reside in Virginia.
